In Conversation With H.E. Meghan Gregonis, Consul General of the United States of America in Dubai, the session sets the agenda on how to close the gender divide in workplace. Women leaders are as likely as men at their level to aspire to be promoted and put in senior-level roles, yet in many companies they are not advancing at the same rate. Women leaders, according to McKinsey, are twice as likely to be mistaken for someone more junior, and to feel that their personal characteristics, such as their gender, or being a parent, have played a role in them being denied or passed over for a raise, promotion or chance to get ahead. What can we do to impact this disparity at scale and across sectors?
