A day ahead of Diwali, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal has defended a ban on firecrackers, saying it is necessary for protecting people from pollution and there is no 'Hindu-Muslim' angle to it. The BJP has hit back at Kejriwal saying that 1-day Diwali cracker ban is uncalled for. Politics peaks at a time when the air pollution situation across North India is plummeting once again.
