The Jabalpur district administration has banned the entry of harvesters without stubble management systems in a major step to curb stubble burning and reduce air pollution. Farmers are being encouraged to adopt modern disposal techniques and transport stubble to compressed biogas plants instead of burning it. Demonstrations of new stubble collection and binding machines are being held to promote sustainable practices.
