HTC One M9 features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company's brand new Sense 7 UI on top.

HTC One M9 comes with a new range of HTC Dot View II cases that look brighter a Dot Message that let you see custom messages through the case in addition to the usual information like time, call notifications etc.

HTC One M9 is backed by the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core (quad-core 2GHz + quad-core 1.5GHz) processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.

The HTC One M9 sports an all-metal unibody design with a scratch resistant coating that offers better protection to the body.

HTC One M9 comes with a 4-UltraPixel front camera that the company hopes will translate into better selfies due to its low-light photography capabilities.

HTC One M9 sports 20-megapixel autofocus rear camera that comes with sapphire cover lens, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording.

Another noticeable change is that the continuous volume rocker has given way to separate volume up/ down keys.

The new flagship also retains the One family's iconic dual front-facing speakers and BoomSound and with Dolby Audio and 5.1 channel Dolby Surround sound simulation.

The M9 comes with a new photo editor that includes effects like double exposure, shape masking & blending, prismatic and mirroring. The Photos app will also be able to connect to services like Facebook, Dropbox, Google+, and Flickr to offer a consolidated view of all your pictures saved across various services.

The HTC One M9 is marginally lighter than the One (M8) and it comes with a single part front where the bezel and main housing sit together.

The HTC One M9 packs a 2840mAh battery which is slightly larger than the HTC One (M8) that came with 2600mAh battery. It measures 144.6x69.7x9.61mm and weighs 157 grams.
