In Pics: Launch Of Cashless Bano India Campaign In Delhi

NDTV has partnered with Mastercard to launch Cashless Bano India campaign to create awareness and educate the masses about digital payment solutions. The campaign aims to take the message of a cash free India to the country.

Amitabh Kant, CEO of NITI Aayog, along with Ari Sarker, Co-president, Asia Pacific, Mastercard and NDTV's Vikram Chandra flagged off the bus that will visit multiple cities in India to spread the word about NDTV-Mastercard Cashless Bano India campaign.

Porush Singh, Divising President of Mastercard expressed his views on digital payment solutions and how the campaign can help India to become a cashless economy.

"There is need to turn India into a formal economy," said Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, who attended the launch of Cashless Bano India campaign.

An invigorating discussion ensued as prominent panelists came together leading to understand what the government of India is doing to safeguard the process of digital payments.

Sunil Mehta, MD & CEO, Punjab National Bank, at the panel discussion on how India can become a cashless economy.

"The banking industry is going to move away from the practice of a blended merchant rate, we will have a separate cost for credit and debit," said Ari Sarker.

Dr. Arvind Virmani, President, Forum for Strategic Initiative & Former Chief Economic Adviser, was also part of the panel discussion.
