Robbed Of Childhood, Teenage Girls Break Free From The Shackles Of Child Marriage

Two sisters from Udaipur were married off as young teenagers and then left alone and vulnerable after their mother was killed. They have now found legal recourse in the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act. They have now been provided accommodation and a joint compensation of Rs 3 lakh.
