Images of the day: Langur in tour game, team India practices

While a langur disrupted the England vs Haryana tour match in Ahmedabad, Indian team members, sans Harbhajan Singh, had a light practice session at the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai.

Haryana spinners took five of the six wickets that fell in the day although England scored at a brisk pace, adding 113 runs in 28.2 overs after resuming at 408 for three.
Rahul Dewan and Sunny Singh (55) then put on 97-runs for the second wicket in a strong reply to England's mammoth total but Haryana were still trailing by a huge 349-run margin at the end of Day 2.

Monty Panesar, seen here with captain Cook, took a solitary wicket in Haryana innings but bowled extremely economically going for 32 runs in 18 overs. Tim Bresnan was the pick of bowlers taking 2/47 in 13 overs.

Nearing day's end, the play was temporarily suspended due to a langur invasion. The animal ran across to his female companion, unaware of the delay it was causing and security staff could not really stop the 'streaker'.

Three important cogs in team India's wheels - Duncan Fletcher, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar - seen here chatting during the first light practice session in Mumbai. Conspicuously absent was Harbhajan, included in the Test squad after being in the wilderness for more than a year. He failed to make it because of a delayed flight, it was learnt.

Virender Sehwag looks at his finger after a training session on the first day of a three day camp at the Cricket Club of India. Incidentally, it was a finger injury that affected him in the Ranji Trophy match against Uttar Pradesh.

Comeback man Yuvraj Singh seen here in an animated conversation with the maestro himself as Virat Kohli looks on during the first practice that team India underwent before the England Tests begin.

It might have been reported that Duncan Fletcher has been a 'dormant' personality till now, at least in the Indian dressing-room but along with captain cool he definitely will be 'concocting' plans to give England back a taste of their own medicine.

Zaheer Khan has been under a lot of tough scrutiny and Ishant Sharma seems will have less chances to prove himself if things do not go right pretty fast. Along with Joe Dawes, the Indian bowling coach, both will be looking to get some rhythm as well as form back.

Sachin Tendulkar shares a light moment with his 'understudy' Virat Kohli, even as serious Tests loom large on the horizon.

The master blaster is on a mission it seems. He reportedly played close to 300 balls during Mumbai practice before Ranji match and in team India's light session too, he was willingly doing what he does the best, putting bat to ball.
