IPL 2017: Andrew Tye Heroics Give Gujarat Lions First Win vs Rising Pune Supergiant

Debutant Andrew Tye registered the second hat-trick of the day as a clinical Gujarat Lions defeated Rising Pune Supergiant by seven wickets to notch up their first win in the ongoing Indian Premier League, in Rajkot on Friday.

Skipper Suresh Raina (35 not out) and Aaron Finch (33 not out) joined hands and stitched an unbeaten 61-run fourth wicket stand to overwhelm the Pune target with two overs to spare.

Imran Tahir proved to be the most expensive bowler of the night by giving away 53 runs and picking up one wicket.

Rahul Chahar was the pick of the bowlers for Rising Pune Supergiant who returned with figures of 1 for 26 in his 3 overs.

Dwayne Smith made a quickfire 47 off 30 balls to make short work of the Rising Pune Supergiant target.

Brendan McCullum took Gujarat Lions off to a flyer by taking the attack to the opposition and scoring 49 off 32 balls in no time.
