IPL 2022: Hardik Pandya, Lockie Ferguson Star As GT Beat RR By 37 Runs
IPL 2022: Hardik Pandya and Lockie Ferguson starred as Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 37 runs in match 24 at the DY Patil Stadium.
Hardik Pandya led from the front after his team lost few early wickets. Pandya smashed an unbeaten 87 and was pretty lively in the outfield. He also contribute with the ball, and dismissed James Neesham.
Abhinav Manohar complemented Hardik after GT had suffered a top-order collapse. He smashed a brilliant 43 off just 28 balls, hitting four boundaries and two sixes.
Jos Buttler was on a rampage for RR in the powerplay, and went on to smashing a 23-ball 50. He, however, was dismissed on the final ball of the powerplay by Lockie Ferguson.
Ferguson bowled yet another fine spell, and helped his team in registering a win. His delivery to Buttler was the turning point of the match. He eventually finished the match with figures of two for 23.
Despite being taken for a few runs, Yash Dayal made quite an impact on his debut, returning figures of three for 40.
