IPL 2022: KL Rahul's second ton of the season against Mumbai Indians, followed by an inspiring performance from the bowlers sealed a convincing win for Lucknow Super Giants.
It was deja vu all over against as KL Rahul, for the second time this season, slammed a century for LSG against Mumbai Indians. His knock of 103 not out turned out to be decisive in the end.
Rohit Sharma gave MI a good start in their chase but did not get any support from any of his teammates. He top-scored for the team with a fine knock of 39.
Krunal Pandya starred with the ball for LSG, taking three important wickets, including the one of Rohit, who had given MI a flying start in their chase of 169.
Tilak Varma continued his promising run in the season. The youngster played a gutsy knock of 38, and was threatening to take the game away from LSG.
LSG bowlers delivered the goods, restricting MI to a total of 132 for eight. However, Dushmantha Chameera's spell was certainly a talking point. Despite failing to take a wicket, Chameera conceded just 14 runs in four over.
