In Pics: 1 Million In Relief Camps, Kerala Hopes To Rebuild After Floods

Kerala faced it's worst flood in a hundred years

Personnel from the armed forces were called in to Kerala for rescue operations and for help in relief and rebuilding

The Kerala government said 1,028,000 people are now in about 3,200 relief camps across the state

People are flocking to camps as the scale of the desolation is revealed by receding waters and the forces rescue more people each day

Kerala has received help from several quarters. Relief material and donations have come from across the country. Here, volunteers from the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee can be seen loading relief materials onto a truck for Kerala flood victims at the Golden Temple in Amritsar
