Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni played a quick knock of 14 runs off 7 balls in the IPL 2023 against Gujarat Titans on Friday, at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Dhoni entered the crease and cleared his intentions after he smashed a huge six off Joshua Little. The moment he unleashed his shot, the crowd went berserk with the chants of Dhoni.
After hitting the huge six, Dhoni went to smash a brilliant boundary on the very next delivery of Joshua Little.
Coming to the match, Ruturaj Gaikwad was pick among the batters for CSK as he smashed 92 runs off 50 balls and took his side to a total of 178/7 in 20 overs.
However, Rashid Khan turned out to be a game-changer as his spell of 2/26 and later a knock of 10 runs off 3 balls, guided GT to a victory by five wickets in the opening match. Apart from him, Shubman Gill also smashed 63 off 36 balls.
