In Khagrabari region of Biswanath, which shares a border with Arunachal Pradesh and is primarily inhabited by Bodo tribal communities, the Centre for Development Action and Appropriate Technology (CADAT) is now rolling out a livelihood project aimed at supporting these tribal areas. Usha's support has enabled CADAT to secure funding from government bodies.

Since then, this partnership has trained hundreds of women, many of whom are now financially independent, running their own Silai Schools, or contributing to their households in meaningful ways.

Among the lives transformed is that of Rinku Devi, a resident of Musahar Toli, in the village of Alipur on the outskirts of Ara District. Through Bhojpur Mahila Kala Kendra and Usha Silai School, Rinku learned tailoring, a skill that has enabled her to open her own sewing school where she now teaches other women in her community.
