Doctors who are fighting COVID-19 say there is anecdotal evidence to suggest that the second wave of the pandemic in India is affecting more young people and pregnant women. Doctors say this time around, more young people are landing up in intensive care units and some even without comorbidities are dying due to Covid, even though government data find no major difference from the first wave. Doctors analyse why this is happening and emphasise the need for more young people to get vaccinated.
