Convalescent plasma therapy, widely used in India to treat Covid-19 patients, is likely to be dropped from the ICMR clinical protocol according to reports.The Indian Council of Medical Research, India's health research body, is likely to put up an updated advisory. Recently a study, published in British Medical Journal, suggested that Convalescent Plasma Therapy (CPT) has shown a limited effect in reducing the progression to severe disease or death.
