Marching contingents have begun rehearsing their routines for Republic Day near the India Gate, even as dense haze and toxic air continue to shroud Delhi. The 24-hour average Air Quality Index on Tuesday morning stood at 415, placing the city firmly in the severe category. Among the monitoring stations in the severe zone, Anand Vihar emerged as the most polluted, logging an AQI of 468, according to the Pollution Control Board's SAMEER app. Delhites continue to struggle with dangerously high toxin levels in the air, with several residents reporting breathing difficulties.
