"Sustainability Rooted In Indian Culture": Minister Pralhad Joshi At NDTV Conclave

Speaking at NDTV's "India Sustainability Mission" Conclave, Mr Joshi said, "Sustainability is rooted in Indian culture because we have always considered sun as "Surya devta", wind as "Vayu devta" and water as "Varuna devta".

Speaking further, he said that reforms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government in the renewable energy sector have put India very high in the world on several green energy barometers.

About The Campaign

5th largest economy in the world

India is on its way to be among the top three economies by 2030.

As a nation, we are committed to boost this growth in a manner that has a positive impact on people, natural resources and environment.

In alignment with India’s commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070, NDTV will start a six-week campaign called the India Sustainability Mission, which will be a conversation dedicated to promoting sustainable practices to manage our e-waste better and be more conscious as a producer and consumer.
