On 3rd May 2023, The United States Of America announced that the Covid vaccine requirements for international travellers have been removed. According to a statement issued by the White House, this will be brought into effect from 11th May 2023. It was also stated that the COVID-19 public health emergency will also end on the same day.

Covid vaccine requirements end
The official statement read "Today, we are announcing that the Administration will end the Covid-19 vaccine requirements for federal employees, federal contractors, and international air travellers at the end of the day on May 11, the same day that the Covid-19 public health emergency ends."

The United States Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Homeland Security announced that they would start the process to end their vaccination requirements for Head Start educators, CMS-certified healthcare facilities, and certain non-citizens too at the land border.
No more Covid restrictions for international travellers
"We also put in place vaccination requirements for certain international travellers to slow the spread of new variants entering the country and to allow our healthcare system time to effectively manage access to care if faced with an increase in cases and hospitalizations," the White House's statement read.
