At least five people have lost their lives in flash flood-related incidents in Kerala as heavy rainfall continues to batter parts of the state. Amid deteriorating weather conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Alert for six districts, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall. Authorities remain on alert as swollen rivers, waterlogging and flood-like conditions raise concerns in several areas. Disaster response teams and local administrations are closely monitoring the situation as rainfall activity continues.
