5 Precautions to Take Before Cleaning Vegetables and Fruits

Before washing vegetables and fruits, make sure your kitchen sink, kitchen platform, and utensils are clean. If they are not properly cleaned, dust and contaminants can stick to the produce again.

Leafy vegetables like cabbage and lettuce lack a protective covering, making them more vulnerable to contamination. Unlike potatoes or onions, you cannot simply remove the skin. Instead, consider removing the outer leaves of these vegetables while washing them.
