Delhi Capitals defeated Rajasthan Royals in the super over during their IPL 2025 match on Wednesday in Delhi. This was the first super over of IPL since 2022.
In the super over, RR went ahead with Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag while DC handed over the ball to pacer Mitchell Starc.
After getting hit for a boundary on the second delivery, Starc gave a single on the third ball.
On the fourth delivery, Parag hits the ball for a boundary, giving a strong hope to RR. However, Starc bounce back in style and restricted RR to 11/2 in 0.5 deliveries.
Needing 12 to win from 6 balls, DC sent KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs while RR went ahead with pacer Sandeep Sharma.
DC did not face any hiccups in the chase as they went across the line in just 4 balls. This was DC's fifth win in six games while RR lost their fifth match out of seven.
