Ritesh Singh: Bridging India's Education Divide With Eckovation
New Delhi:

Ritesh Singh, IIT Delhi alumnus and founder-CEO of Eckovation, champions accessible education through a social learning platform connecting students, teachers, and parents nationwide. Featured in NDTV's Mission Impact "Breaking Language Barriers and Bridging Distances with Technology," his work tackles India's student-teacher ratio crisis and rural digital gaps.

From Small-Town Roots

Hailing from Chapra, Bihar—a Tier-III town where language barriers hindered his early learning—Ritesh graduated from IIT Delhi in Electronics Engineering. After engineering stints at Bosch R&D (securing two patents) and business development roles, he identified education's communication gaps during 8 months of school-level research across cities. Co-founding Eckovation in 2014 with Akshat Goel (IIT Delhi Mechanical), he launched the mobile app in 2015 to democratize quality education.

Revolutionising School Collaboration

Eckovation's free platform creates instant teacher-led groups for homework sharing, doubt clearing, attendance tracking, and parent updates via multilingual voice notes and vernacular support. Serving 5M+ users, it improves student-teacher ratios in under-resourced schools, especially rural India, with features like AI-driven content and gamified learning. The "Open School Programme" aims for 1B users by 2020, fostering peer collaboration and real-time progress monitoring.

Rural and Social Impact

Targeting underserved regions, Eckovation bridges distances—students in remote villages access urban-quality resources via basic smartphones. It breaks language barriers with 12+ Indian languages, empowering parents previously disconnected from schooling. Initiatives won Prime Minister's Excellence Award, Commonwealth Innovation Awards, and e-Governance honors, proving tech's role in equitable education.

Growth and Recognition

From bootstrapped beginnings, Eckovation scaled through grit, earning investor backing and IIT case-study status. Ritesh now drives strategic growth while heading Imarticus Learning's online certifications, blending edtech expertise. His Gandhi-inspired mantra fuels sustainable impact over rapid scaling.
