Davos :

The head of the World Economic Forum has invited members of the 'Occupy' movement to meet him in person to discuss their concerns about the annual gathering of global business and government leaders.

A spokesman for the organisers says forum founder Klaus Schwab offered to meet the activists tomorrow.

Protester David Roth says the group is mulling whether to accept the offer.

This morning, half-a-dozen protesters peacefully attempted to enter the high-security venue in the Swiss ski resort of Davos but were turned away.

UN human rights chief Navi Pillay told The Associated Press the activists should have been invited to take part in debates inside the main venue where political and business leaders are discussing the state of the world.
