A report by Oxfam said the richest 1 per cent in India holds more that 40 per cent of the country's wealth. Oxfam International's Executive Director Gabriela Bucher told NDTV at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the rich are not just accumulating wealth but also power. Releasing the India supplement of its annual inequality report on the first day of the World Economic Forum annual meeting, Oxfam International said taxing India's 10-richest at 5 per cent can fetch entire money to bring children back to school.
