"One major concern is the impact of road conditions, high temperatures, and stop-and-go traffic on battery life. Air conditioning use adds stress on the battery, and the cost of an EV is largely tied to the battery. However, most Indian consumers drive less than 51 km a day, so for many, an EV makes sense. The total cost of ownership is becoming more attractive as battery costs have decreased by half," said Kartikey Hariyani.
