NDTV World Summit: "State Govts Need To Recognize Chess Players' Effort"

Following India's historic double gold at the 45th Chess Olympiad in 2024, two stars of the women's team -- Tania Sachdev and Vantika Agrawal -- sat down in a candid chat at the NDTV World Summit. "Unless the state comes forward to recognize the effort of players, how are you going to inspire the youth?" said Sachdev, as she spoke on how she was Delhi's only chess representative for 16 years. Sachdev and Agrawal also reminisced on the victorious day, on pre-planned celebrations and on the pipeline for young players in India.
