About the Campaign

Diarrhoea remains one of the leading causes of child mortality in India, with dehydration being a critical factor. Recognising this urgent issue, the makers of ORSL have launched the "Diarrhoea Se Darr Nahi" initiative in partnership with Population Services International India (PSI India) to combat diarrhoea-related deaths among children under five.

This initiative aims to reach approximately 5 million children over the next two years, focusing on reducing diarrhoea-related mortality and improving health outcomes in 10 high-burden districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The programme aligns with the Government’s "Stop Diarrhoea" campaign, which seeks to achieve zero child deaths due to diarrhoea in India.

As part of "Diarrhoea Se Darr Nahi," Kenvue (makers of ORSL) and PSI India will collaborate with state government authorities and local health officials to implement an integrated diarrhoea management programme that addresses both prevention and treatment. The initiative will place special emphasis on children aged 0-5 years.

To further this commitment, the makers of ORSL have introduced Ready-to-Drink WHO-approved ORS, offering a convenient, scientifically backed solution to effectively restore fluids and electrolytes. Through this multi-year initiative, the makers of ORSL reaffirm their mission to create a meaningful impact on public health, ensuring that no child’s life is lost to preventable dehydration.
