Oscar 2012: 10 Worst Dressed

Here's a look at the women who failed to impress on the Oscar Red carpet this year.

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad: She's less fabulous JLo and more tacky Jenny From The Block in plunging, skintight silver-grey.

Cameron Diaz in Gucci: Our girl Cam gets it wrong this year with a dress that would have been stunning on someone with darker hair and skin. We like the feather detail but the dress just totally washes her out.

Natalie Portman in Dior Haute Couture: Last year's Best Actress winner Natalie Portman went polka dotted red. But we're not impressed. Not a patch on her last year's dress.

Sandra Bullock in Marchesa: The Blind Side actress hit the right trends with monochrome and embellishing but the saggy silhouette kept the dress from being a winner.

Anna Faris in Diane von Furstenberg: The bubbly actress's sequinned DvF was ill-fitting and looked tacky. The blonde bob made the whole look seem more suited for the cabaret than the red carpet.

Shailene Woodley in Valentino: The Descendants star made her Oscar debut in a white, long-sleeved Valentino gown that aged her far beyond her 20 years.

Melissa Leo in Reem Acra: The unflattering style and cut do nothing for Melissa Leo who also tries too hard and fails with the sequins.

Judy Greer in Monique Lhuillier: Judy Greer looks like a game show hostess in this sparkler.

Busy Phillips in Lous Vuitton: Up close, the textured lace dress must have been quite pretty but it just lacks the oomph an Oscar appearance demands. Plus, the neon shoes are more boho beach party than red carpet-worthy.

Missi Pyle in Valentina Delfino: The Artist star wore an eco-friendly turquoise gown but the colour and draping were too prom-style.
