Oscars 2012: What the stars will eat

Food items which will be offered to guests at the Academy Awards Governor's Ball was on display at a food and beverage preview in Hollywood, Calfornia.

A "3D Oscar" dessert is on the menu for the 2012 Academy Awards Governor's Ball. Each guest will get a plate with a "red carpet stairway" made from Black Forest pudding cake. Chocolate "klieg lights," each with a tiny LED, will light up a gold-dusted chocolate "Oscar," who will stand in front of an edible "billboard" that gives a 3D effect when viewed with 3D glasses.

A pot pie with an Oscar-embossed crust is surely going to be a hit.
