He said not only the people of Bihar but also those in the rest of the country were disappointed that the rival alliance "uttered not a word on the plans it has for Bihar's development."

On being taunted by his rivals for remembering Bihar after 14 months, Prime Minister Modi said he had sent an expert team from Delhi and constantly monitored the situation to prevent floods in the riverine areas of the Kosi belt after landslides in Nepal last year.

Prime Minister Modi also lavished praise on the people of the state, saying the "most intelligent people live in Bihar". Union Minister and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan also attended NDA's Parivartan Rally in Bhagalpur.

In his speech today at his fourth rally in Bihar, where elections will be held by November, Prime Minister Modi sought to underscore that its development agenda sets apart his BJP from rival parties. HAM leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi also attended the rally.

He also charged Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad with "sacrificing" the legacy of towering socialist leaders like Ram Manohar Lohia and Jayaprakash Narayan by sharing platform with Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
