Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the new-generation GLA range in India. The lineup includes both the regular GLA and the performance-spec AMG GLA 35 models.
The standard GLA comes in three variants - GLA 200 (Rs. 42.10 lakh), GLA 220d (Rs. 43.7 lakh), and GLA 220d 4Matic (Rs. 46.7 lakhs). The former two are offered in Progressive Line trim and the 220d 4matic in AMG-Line trim. As for the AMG GLA 35, it is priced at Rs. 57.30 lakh. All are introductory ex-showroom India prices.
The new GLA comes in both petrol and diesel options. The powertrain is sourced from the A-Class Limousine. While the former is 1.3-litre petrol tuned to make 161 bhp and 250 Nm of power figures, the oil burner is a 2.0-litre engine is good for 188 bhp and 400 Nm. The petrol mill is mated to a 7-speed DCT unit, while the diesel engine comes with an 8-speed G-tronic automatic torque converter unit.
