Sapna Chadha, Senior Marketing Director, Google India & Southeast Asia joined the Salute Our Saviours Telethon and talked about how Google partnered with local governments, ICMR and myGov platform to disseminate credible information specific to India for people. Some of the things that Google had to keep in mind was the local requirements like that of content being available in multiple languages and ensuring that information is accessible to feature phone given the digital divide that still exists in India and making information about test labs, COVID facilities and night shelters available on Google Maps.
