Life is not easy for the family members of serious patients admitted in various government hospitals. With absence of any basic facility for them, they are forced to live and sleep under the open sky, let it be the bitter winter cold, the merciless summer heat or in the deluge of the monsoons.

Deepika, a 4-year old girl suffers from rare kidney disease. She came to Delhi from Bareilly for her medical treatment, and like many other patients, she too was forced to spend entire night in open at a bus stand outside the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), as the night shelters were always fully occupied.

But now she will not spend the night in the open. These tents distributed by Uday Foundation can be assembled and dismantled in only 15 minutes.

Also some of them are patients themselves, who are undergoing medical treatment in a day care facility. Majority of them are natives of UP, Bihar and Jharkhand.

They are neither homeless nor the people you find living on the streets but they are the caregivers of the serious patients, who have to remain in and around the hospitals as the doctors can call them any time.

Thank you, Bharatram family, for spreading the warmth to seriously ill, underprivileged patients and their families living at Delhi's AIIMS shelter.

Blanket distribution drive hopes to help many needy and homeless people, by keeping them warm.
