Inside Antara Foundation's Mission To Strengthen India's Rural Health System

In the remote villages of Madhya Pradesh, reaching a health center can take hours, and sometimes, that delay can cost lives. For countless mothers, pregnancy meant hope mixed with fear, hoping for a safe delivery, yet unsure if help would arrive in time.

The Antara Foundation is changing that reality. Working in partnership with the Government of Madhya Pradesh, their programs are aligned with the state's vision of healthy mothers and babies.  

Through innovative models like the AAA platform, interventions like the Community Adopt a Bindi and Anugami, frontline workers and the community come together to identify high-risk pregnancies early, track them closely, and ensure that no mother is missed.

From just 5 blocks to over 8,500 villages, the Antara Foundation's work now empowers more than 19,000 health workers in Madhya Pradesh, using training, data, and digital tools to make healthcare timely, reliable, and closer to home.
