Addressing this question, Plan International (India Chapter), also known as Plan India, works at the last mile through community-led and system-strengthening initiatives.
 
For nearly three decades, Plan India has partnered with governments, communities, and the government to strengthen #EarlyChildhoodCare, #Education, #Health, #Nutrition, #ChildProtection, #SkillDevelopment, #Livelihoods, #DisasterRelief and #ClimateResilience. Its work focuses on creating safe spaces for children, reinforcing public systems, and ensuring that girls have equal access to learning and opportunity.
 
From strengthening Anganwadi centres and government schools to supporting adolescents through second-chance learning and employability programmes, Plan India enables children, especially girls, to complete their education, build skills, and enter the workforce with confidence.
 
Through #BalikaShivir, girls who have dropped out of school receive a structured second chance to continue their education and rebuild confidence. Through #Saksham, young people gain job-ready technical and soft skills, along with placement support that opens pathways to formal employment and financial independence.
 
Working across 28 states and Union Territories, Plan India has reached over three crore children and young people, supporting communities to build more equitable, resilient, and sustainable futures.
