In India and around the world the COVID-19 pandemic is more than just a global health crisis. The lockdowns imposed to check the spread of the virus, have decimated incomes and are threatening even the most basic food security that many had. The volunteers of World Vision India are trying to help people spread far and wide across the country. They are distributing cooked food packages and dry ration kits ensuring children and families do not go hungry. They are spreading awareness about COVID prevention, sexual abuse, domestic abuse and mental health. Even in the past, World Vision India has been instrumental in helping communities during times of disaster, be it floods in Kashmir, Uttarakhand or cyclone Fani last year or the lastest cyclone Amphan to hit West Bengal and Odisha.
