Fashion Designer Ritu Kumar at the #HungerFreeIndia telethon said that the textile industry is the biggest employer after agriculture. She also said that India is the only country where handicrafts is still alive and the children who have the DNA of this art are forced to become porters or labourers. Their art needs to be kept alive, she added.
