ChildFund India’s vision is to build “an India where children and young people lead a dignified life and achieve their full potential”.
The annual reach of the organisation is over 3.5 million children, youth, and their families, from 3200 communities in 85 districts across 15 states in the country.
ChildFund India works in rural as well as urban districts of the country where child protection issues and violence against children are prevalent.
Its programs provide comprehensive support to the children from their conception until they reach 24 years of age by integrating health, nutrition, sanitation, gender equality, disability, education, skill training, livelihoods, child protection and humanitarian relief work.
ChildFund India works with communities and local safety mechanisms put in place by the government to save lives in emergencies and reduce future disaster risks. ChildFund provides humanitarian assistance during and after disaster occurrences to support and rehabilitate the affected children, parents, caregivers and the larger community.
Interventions include providing food/non-food Items and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), specific focus on personal hygiene for women/ adolescent girls. A large focus is also directed towards the restoration of livelihood, dignity and overall well-being.
