Rishabh Pant led from the front after DC were reeling at 50 for four. His knock of 39 off 33 balls helped DC to reach a challenging total.
Rovman Powell and Pant came to DC's rescue after MI bowlers had started positively. Powell smashed 43 off just 34 balls as DC managed to post a total of 159/7.
Needing 160 to win, Ishan Kishan got MI off to a flying start, despite losing his opening partner Rohit Sharma. He unfortunate to miss out on his fifty, as he was dismissed on 48.
Tim David did not look back after he got a reprieve on the very first ball he face. The former RCB batter smashed 34 off just 11 balls, putting MI in control of the chase.
