While GRAP-III is typically invoked when the air quality turns "severe" and the AQI hits 400, the pollution board invoked it early as a precautionary measure.
The Commission for Air Quality Management or CAQM has applied the Stage-III restrictions across the entire NCR with immediate effect as a precautionary measure after Delhi's average AQI (Air Quality Index) hit 382 today.
As Delhi’s air quality takes a dip, you can recharge yourself by visiting cities with low AQI.
An AQI converts a dust reading into a score from 0 to 500. Each country builds its scale around its own safe limits, so the same air gets a different score.
