"This is a good moment to be the EAM of India. I want to share with you why it's a good moment - 1st reason- the nature of the govt. I have worked all my life in many govts. When you have a PM with such a strong commitment to modernising India. If you look at the decisions that are taken, it is really an extraordinary period. It's great privilege to participate in it. Second reason - the external and domestic dynamic has become much closer. Third reason is India itself. This is no longer the era where people are satisfied with the basics," said Union Minister S Jaishankar in his address after winning NDTV's 'India First' Award
