RBI To Conduct Phase I Exam For Grade B Officer Again For Kerala Candidates

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in a notice released on its official website said that it will conduct the Phase -I / Paper-1 examination for recruitment of Grade B officers again for some selected centres and cities in Kerala. The Grade B officers recruitment exam was conducted on August 16, 2018. Many candidates whose exam centre was in Kerala could not appear for the exam on accounts of the flood in the state.
The notice on the RBI websites reads, "Due to the widespread floods in the State of Kerala, attendance in some of the centres in Kerala was low. The Board has been receiving representations from aspirants requesting for an opportunity to appear at the examination in light of the conditions in the State."
The date for the re-examination will be announced later after RBI has made the logistic arrangements for the conduct of the exam. The details of the exam will also be sent via email to eligible candidates.
Candidates who appeared for the August 16 exam will not be allowed to appear again.
The dates for Phase-II / Paper - II & III examination, which was scheduled on 6th / 7th September 2018, will be rescheduled and the revised dates of examination will be notified separately. Results of all the candidates including those who appeared for Phase-I / Paper-I of the examination held on 16th August 2018 will be announced after the completion of the examination to be held in Kerala.

Kerala has been hit by the worst floods in a 100 years. The Kerala Government estimates Rs 21,000 crore will be needed to rebuild the state. The funds are required to rebuild hundreds of flooded villages, thousands of damaged and destroyed homes and 10,000 kilometres of ravaged roads.
