A Sewing-Based Income-Generating Platform For Women In Karauli

The royal family of Karauli has played a vital role in preserving the rich tradition of handcrafts, particularly for women, thus contributing significantly to the region's cultural heritage. In the rustic setting of the city, the USHA Training Cum Production Centre, established in collaboration with Maharaja Ganesh Pal Charitable Trust, is actively reshaping the social fabric. The center trains 10 women for 25 days, offering them a sewing-based income-generating platform. The objective is to extend professional sewing training to underprivileged women while integrating Karauli's artisanal legacy.
