Durgarani's Transformative Journey Began With A Sewing Machine

Durgarani lives in a tight-knit agricultural community where they grow rice and vegetables, and export ginger, turmeric and other spices. From this world, Durgarani's simple effort of learning to stitch by watching instructional YouTube videos took her into the world of sewing. And, that is when her name was put forward by the village panchayat for a special master sewing and stitching training program in Rhenock Block, East Sikkim. This training was organised by Usha Silai School.
