Assam and Bihar are facing the worst floods ever with many casualties and lakhs of people becoming homeless. In Assam, the Brahmaputra is crossing the danger level in districts like Jorhat, Tezpur, Guwahati, Goalpara and Dhubri along with river Burhidehing at Khowang in Dibrugarh district, Subansiri river at Badatighat in Lakhimpur, Dhansiri river at Numaligarh in Golaghat district, Jia Bharali river at Sonitpur, Kopili river at Kampur and Dharamtul in Nagaon district.

Death toll in the Bihar flash floods caused by torrential rainfall is rising day by day.

Uday Foundation has started flood relief camps in these areas with the help of local grass root partners.

Uday Foundation is not registered with FCRA and we cannot accept foreign donations. We can accept donation from Non-Resident Indians only through any bank account operational in India. Contributions made by a citizen of India, living in another country, from his personal savings, through the normal banking channels, is not treated as foreign contribution. However, while accepting any donations from such NRI, it is mandatory to obtain his passport details to ascertain that he/she is an Indian passport holder.
