"We had 7 wins in a row and we lost the eight match to Poland. We were exactly at this place in 2022 at the Chennai Olympiad as well. The ghosts of past are always on your mind. It is important to block the noise. We came back from the loss against Poland and we knew we needed to win this. We had to earn and sweat it out in the last match and the team really delivered on the last day," recalls Tania Sachdev, Gold medallist, Chess Olympiad 2024 at the NDTV World Summit. "It was a lifetime journey for a lot of us on the team," she added on the historic win.
