India pacer Mohammed Shami had recently taken a dig at the BCCI selectors for snubbing him from the team's white-ball tour of Australia. BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar, while speaking at the NDTV World Summit 2025, has responded to the comments. Shami, a star fast bowler, said his availability for Bengal in Ranji Trophy proved he is fit and it is not his job to update the BCCI selection panel on this. The 35-year-old bowler has not been a part of the Indian Test side too for a while, having last played in the World Test Championship final against Australia in June 2023.
