Grand Welcome for President Obama At The Rashtrapati Bhavan

President Obama receives a grand ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. After landing at the Palam airport, the Obamas went to their hotel Maurya Sheraton. After that only the President, minus the First Lady, arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, where President Pranab Mukherjee received him.

After the grand ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, POTUS left to pay homage at Gandhi Samadhi.

"Great honour to be back in India," said Barack Obama at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Wing Commander Puja Thakur, led the Guard of Honour for President Obama at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Puja is the first woman officer to lead a tri-services Guard of Honour. "We are treated no different from men in training, so we are officers first and then women," Puja said.

Prime Minister Modi arrives at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in a black bandhgala. PM changed out of the yellow waistcoat and red shawl he wore to greet the Obamas at the airport.

Cabinet Ministers Manohar Parrikar, Venkaiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Rajnath Singh wait for President Obama to arrive at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Rashtrapati Bhavan's forecourt all set for the arrival of the Obamas.

The Obamas will be recieved by President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
