PM Modi Meets President Obama Over Dinner in Washington
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Washington from New York ahead of the dinner being hosted by US President Barack Obama.

PM Modi had his first meeting with Obama on Monday evening over a private dinner in the Blue Room of the White House. The prime minister is observing a nine-day fast during the Navaratri festival and is reported to be only consuming lemonade and tea.
A large number of Indian American supporters were present along the road to cheer Modi on his way to Blair House. They welcomed him with chants of "Bharat Mata ki Jai" and "Modi, Modi".
DUS Deputy Secretary of State William Burns received PM Modi at the Andrews Air Force Base.
PM Modi was accompanied by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Indian Ambassador to the US, S Jaishankar among others at the White House dinner.
