Delhi: The Crime Capital Of India

Uber-NDTV Roshan Dilli campaign brings you a special show on the challenges faced by women who live and work in the capital. From young women belonging to a resettlement colony who created a rap song to express their angst and anger at having their freedom curtailed, to young professionals, who despite belonging to a different strata of society, often feel a sense of insecurity. While Delhi has developed over the years, it still remains the crime capital of the country, with the highest number of reported rapes. More steps need to be taken to make it safer for women, from ensuring well lit streets, to better transport facility, policing as well as a push for societal change. This is essential so that all genders can enjoy the city and all it has to offer with the same freedom.
